You can access information and fun activities to help you with your studies. Also, passes/reminder tickets are available from your teachers for regular afterschool tutoring sessions in Mrs. Ferguson's room. Check it out at the link below.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES STILL IN PLACE FOR JAN 14 MS GAMES

The JAN 14 MS 7th/8th BBB Home vs. Harlem, start times are 5:00 PM for 7th grade and 6:15 PM for 8th grade. Both games will be played in HS gym. The NFHS network will also be broadcasting games/events played in the high school gymnasium. Learn more at the link below.

Students are encouraged to meet with teachers on Fridays and/or attend afterschool tutoring to finish out the semester. Tutoring classes are held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00 in Mrs. Ferguson's Room 208. Snacks and a ride home are provided. STEM: TRIGGER, TRAJECTORY AND STORED ENERGY?

Grade 6 students recently built trigger launchers and learned about the terms trigger, trajectory, and stored energy in special Friday sessions with Mrs. Young. Students were able to take the launchers home to practice with or improve upon them. These STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities are designed to promote participation on Friday tutoring day, increase motivation for achieving in science and math, and also spark an interest STEM careers. See Mrs. Young for more information, and check out STEM careers at the link below. (Audio Available)
GRADE 7-8 BOYS BASKETBALL SIGN-UP DEC 21-22

Grade 7-8 sign-ups for boys basketball will be today and tomorrow at the end of the school day. Players will need a physical and complete athletic paperwork before they can participate. Practice starts on Monday DEC 28 at 4:00 pm, and the first game is  scheduled for JAN 2 in Wolf Point.

The elves visited and they wandered around the middle school in awe of the classroom doors! They really liked the 3D doors and the ones "honoring" the pandemic, and of course who wouldn't like the buffalo with the jeans. The classroom winners are:Â Muhs, Mr. Schwartz, MS office, Mrs. Murphy, Mrs. Schwartz and Ms. Parker.
FOOD DRIVE CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The winners of the Poplar MS Indian club sponsored food drive decorated box contest and receiving prize donuts are Muh's Grade 5, Watts' Grade 6, Ferguson's Grade 7 and Snyder's Grade 8. The class collecting the most food overall is Ms. Hovan's. They will get a pizza party.

The Montana Crisis Recovery hotline is funded and available for at least the next nine months. Montanans in need of crisis counseling can call 1-877-503-0833 to receive free and confidential counseling services from trained crisis counselors Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
PARADE OF TREES DEC 7-10

All middle school students (remote students included) will have a chance to win a tree courtesy of the Chante' program and Poplar MS teacher sponsors. Teachers can bring down their students to put their tickets in the can for a chance to win starting on Monday, DEC 7. Trees will be on display until the drawing on DEC 10.

You must have exact change in the envelope or there is an option to pay online. We must limit traffic in our school and will not be able to let parents in to change clothing, pick packages, fix hair, etc. No underage siblings in the buildings the day of photos. Remote learners can call the office to make appointments on either day.  Call Jackie at 768-6733 with any questions.

Students of the quarter were nominated by teachers for being positive role models at Poplar Middle School. Each student of the quarter was awarded a big lollipop and a gift certificate for a burger and fries.
